INDICATIONS

Prevention of iron deficiency and folic acid deficiency in pregnant women.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Dosage and Administration
Pregnant women:
For prophylaxis of iron and folic acid deficiency, take 1 tablet once daily, as directed by a physician.
Route of administration: Oral use. The tablet may be taken before or between meals, depending on gastrointestinal tolerance.
 

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Hypersensitivity to any component of the product.
Iron overload.
Concomitant use with parenteral iron preparations.
Conditions associated with excess iron in the body, such as hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis, and hemolytic anemia.
Esophageal stricture or gastrointestinal perticula.
Megaloblastic anemia due to vitamin B12 deficiency, including pernicious anemia.
Ferrous sulfate tablets are not indicated for children under 12 years of age or for the elderly.
