INDICATIONS

• Treatment of symptoms of osteoarthritis and acute or chronic rheumatoid arthritis.
• Relief of acute pain..
   

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Method of administration:
Take during or immediately after meals.
Dosage:
Osteoarthritis and acute or chronic rheumatoid arthritis:
Initial dose 600–1000 mg/day, pided into 2–3 doses. The dose should be adjusted according to patient response, up to a maximum of 1000 mg/day.
Acute pain:
200–400 mg every 6–8 hours, up to a maximum of 1000 mg/day.
 

CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Hypersensitivity to etodolac or to any of the excipients.
• Patients with a history of asthma, urticaria, or other allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID)
• Ischemic heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, peripheral arterial disease, or heart failure (mild to severe).
• Active gastrointestinal ulceration or bleeding.
• Severe hepatic impairment or severe renal impairment.
• Children under 15 years of age, as safety and efficacy have not been established in this population.
• Women in the third trimester of pregnancy and breast-feeding women.
