Pymepharco JSC, now refer to as STADA Pymepharco, in collaboration with Company Labor Union, sponsored over 300 race bibs for employees to participate in the 65th National Marathon and Long-Distance Championship – Tien Phong Newspaper. The event was held on March 31, 2024 in Tuy Hoa, marking the first time the race was hosted in Phu Yen province.

Nearly half of STADA Pymepharco’s runners signed up for the 10km distance, followed by the 5km race. Others took on the more challenging half marathon and full marathon routes, which required more rigorous preparation.

At Tien Phong Marathon 2024, STADA Pymepharco employees joined nearly 12,000 participants in experiencing one of Vietnam’s most iconic marathons courses. They also had the unique honor of being the first in the country to greet the sunrise while running in the easternmost region of Vietnam.

In addition to the marathon, participants had the chance to follow the symbolic “footsteps of the sun”, exploring historical landmarks in Vung Ro Bay, the legendary Ho Chi Minh Sea trail, and the heroic figure who played a crucial role in Vietnam’s journey toward nation reunification. These culture experiences were particularly meaningful for STADA Pymepharco runners visiting from other provinces.

Mr. Phan Phuong Nguyen, company’s accountant, shared: “This was my first time joining the Tien Phong Marathon – and my first attempt at the full 42km marathon. I started training 16 weeks in advance, gradually increasing my training load and ramped up to 50km/week in the last four weeks – to aim for a sub-5-hour finish. Running my very first full marathon in my hometown of Tuy Hoa was an indescribable feeling, and doing so alongside my colleagues from STADA Pymepharco made the experience even more meaningful. We encouraged one another throughout the five-hour journey. This is a memory I will never forget”.
