On July 5, 2024, the 2024 Scientific Conference on the Healthcare Sector was successfully held in Phu Yen Province, hosted by Phu Yen General Hospital (15 Nguyen Huu Tho Street, Ward 9, Tuy Hoa City).

Conference Co-Chairs

This year’s conference was chaired by leading medical experts, including:

  • Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Phu – Vice President of the Vietnam Medical Association; former Director of Hue Central Hospital; former President of the Vietnam Association of Cardiothoracic Surgeons and the Asian Society for Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thuong Dung – Deputy Director of Thong Nhat Hospital; former President of the Vietnam Society of Interventional Cardiology
  • Dr. Huynh Hong Quang – Deputy Director of the Institute of Malariology, Parasitology and Entomology in Quy Nhon

The event brought together over 400 delegates, including healthcare professionals, physicians, and researchers from major hospitals and medical centers across Vietnam, such as Viet Duc Hospital (Hanoi), Thong Nhat Hospital, Cho Ray Hospital, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine (Ho Chi Minh City), Hue Central Hospital, Khanh Hoa General Hospital, and various institutions in Phu Yen.

The conference featured eight specialized sessions and 38 scientific presentations across key medical fields such as interventional cardiology, stroke treatment, intensive care and toxicology, trauma and orthopedics, urology, neurosurgery, and general surgery. This academic platform served as a valuable opportunity to promote scientific research, strengthen professional expertise, and support continuous medical education for healthcare staff in the province.
