STADA and STADA Pymepharco leadership expressed appreciation to keynote speakers Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tuan Dung (Clinical Pharmacy) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Ngoc (Respiratory Medicine)

Focusing on practical treatment guidelines and clinical case discussions, the symposium aimed to reinforce the pharmacist’s role in promoting appropriate antibiotic use, particularly for community-acquired respiratory infections, one of the most prevalent public health issues today. Leading experts shared in-depth, practice-oriented insights into treatment approaches, antibiotic selection, and optimizing clinical outcomes. The symposium not only updated professional knowledge but also equipped pharmacists with essential tools to respond to the growing challenge of antimicrobial resistance.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Thi Huong Quynh, Senior Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy, HCMC University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and Vice Head of Pharmacy Department, Thong Nhat Hospital, shares practical guidance for community pharmacists on antibiotic use in treating respiratory infections.

Antimicrobial resistance is one of the greatest global health threats, particularly in developing countries like Vietnam, where antibiotic usage remains poorly regulated. The symposium emphasized that rational antibiotic use not only enhances treatment outcomes but also protects public health, reduces resistance risks, and prolongs the efficacy of existing antibiotics. The event marked a meaningful step forward in the ongoing collaboration between STADA Pymepharco and the Vietnam Pharmaceutical Association to improve pharmaceutical practices and healthcare delivery. As a committed industry leader, STADA Pymepharco will continue to organize scientific initiatives, training programs, and international partnerships to support healthcare professionals and contribute to a more sustainable, effective healthcare system in Vietnam.

Mr. Philippe Gautron, General Manager of STADA Pymepharco, shared: "This symposium marks an important milestone in our ongoing efforts to improve public health. It follows our Vietnam Health Report launched in January 2024 as part of the Global Health Report series by STADA Group. In partnership with the Vietnam Pharmaceutical Association, we are proud to contribute to building a healthier future for the Vietnamese community”.
