From September 15 to 17, 2023, the 12th expanded Scientific Conference on Hospital Pharmacy – Ho Chi Minh City took place in Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh. The event welcomed over 2,200 participants, including Professors, Associate Professors, PhDs, doctors, and pharmacists currently working at hospitals across the country. The conference was organized under the leadership of the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital Pharmacists Association.

This large-scale conference brought together many leading experts in the field of pharmacy to share insights and exchange practical experience in the management and use of medicines in hospitals across Ho Chi Minh City. Scientific presentations at the conference addressed pressing issues such as: the evaluation of clinical pharmacy practices at local healthcare facilities; the role of pharmaceutical legislation in the procurement of drugs and medical equipment at the University Medical Center HCMC; transitioning antibiotic use from intravenous to oral administration and the clinical pharmacist's role; ensuring safe medication practices at Hung Vuong Hospital; implementation of prophylactic antibiotic programs; and real-world experience shared by several hospitals. Many other scientific reports from hospital settings were also presented by leading experts, offering participants valuable and practical perspectives.
