(Dan Tri) – On the occasion of STADA Vietnam Plant meet EU-GMP standards, STADA Pymepharco held an informative session for healthcare professionals, medical experts and industry stakeholders in Phu Yen province.

Since 2008, the STADA Group – a globally renowned pharmaceutical company headquartered in Germany, has made a comprehensive investment in Pymepharco. In 2021, Currently, STADA officially acquired 99.99% of Pymepharco’s shares, making it a fully integrated member of the STADA Group in Vietnam. Today, the second plant of STADA Pymepharco (commonly refer to as STADA Vietnam plant) located at 189 Hoang Van Thu, Ward 9, Tuy Hoa has received EU-GMP certification. Meanwhile, the first plant (common name: Pymepharco) at 166-170 Nguyen Hue Street, Ward 7, Tuy Hoa has also successfully completed EU-GMP re-certification.
As a result, both manufacturing facilities are now EU-GMP certified – representing the highest global benchmark of pharmaceutical manufacturing. In addition, both manufacturing sites of STADA Pymepharco has also successfully obtained international certifications for Environmental Management (ISO 14001) and Occupational Health & Safety (ISO 45001).

With a production capacity of over 4 billion units per year and a portfolio of more than 350 EU-GMP certified products, dividing in diverse lines such as antibiotics, injectable powders, blood pressure medications, cardiovascular, and anti-inflammatory treatments, STADA Pymepharco aims to become a leading pharmaceutical company in Vietnam and expend exports to Europe and global markets.

Dr. Pham Minh Huu, Deputy Director General of Phu Yen Provincial Department of Health, emphasized: “Achieving EU-GMP certification is the result of STADA Pymepharco’s long-term dedication – investing in advanced facilities, and high-quality workforce training in line with the European pharmaceutical standards. As healthcare professionals, we look forward to seeing more high-quality, affordable medicines produced and distributed by STADA Pymepharco’s two facilities to further improve public health outcomes”.

Peter Goldschmidt, CEO of STADA Group, has previously shared: “Vietnam is one of STADA’s most important markets in Asia, with STADA Pymepharco playing a strategic role as a regional commercial hub.
