Financial Controller, STADA Pymepharco

Mr. Tran The Trung joined STADA Pymepharco in December 2024 as Financial Controller. In this role, he leads the establishment, training, and supervision of the internal control system to prevent risks and fraud, ensuring departments comply with the group’s policies, internal procedures and regulations, as well as local laws and audit requirements.

Prior to joining STADA Pymepharco, he served for over 21 years at Kimberly-Clark Vietnam Ltd., where he held several key positions including Internal Audit Manager, Internal Control Manager, Financial Services Manager, and most recently, Financial Controller. During his tenure at Kimberly-Clark, he was instrumental in building the entire internal control process by leading the development of all policies, procedures, training, and implementation. As a result, the system was consistently rated at the highest level of effectiveness by the Group’s Audit Committee for many consecutive years. In addition, he played a key role in maintaining a negative cash conversion cycle (CCC) of 90 days continuously for 12 years; successfully restructured the Finance Department, reducing full-time equivalent (FTE) headcount by 50%; improved the effective tax rate (ETR) to align closely with statutory rates; and ensured full tax compliance for over 15 consecutive years without incurring any penalties.

Mr. Trung began his auditing career at Vietnam Auditing and Consulting Company (VACO) established by Ministry of Finance, where he gained nearly 6 years of experience. He also served as Chief Accountant at Interspace Co., Ltd., a Korean advertising company, for 2 years, and as Finance Manager at Parkland President Commercial Complex (Hong Kong) for nearly 2 years before joining Kimberly-Clark.

Regarding his educational background, Mr. Trung holds a State-issued Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license from the Ministry of Finance, and three university degrees: a Bachelor of Economics, a Bachelor of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Law. He also holds several professional certifications such as the Emerging Leader Acceleration Program; Fraud Risk Management; Influencing for Business Impact; Problem Solving & Decision Making; Leadership Breakthrough; Behavior-Based Interviewing; Culture of Coaching; Leading Teams; Coaching & Giving Feedback; and Emotional Intelligence for Leaders.
